2. Romance at Heart Magazine offers several links straight to authors' pages, where they have some of their teasers or freebies. Lots of nice links and freebies available.
3. Fan Fiction The red-headed step-child of Romance Writing. Fan Fiction are stories written by "fans" using the characters of popular television shows and movies (as well as other "sources" for deriviative characters). Since fan fiction is written using characters that are already copyrighted, it can never be used for profit. Some of it is also spectacularly bad, but some really good story-writers can take popular characters to new heights, all from the comfort of their computer chair, and without ever needing or expecting a dime from it.
